LINCOLN, IL, Dec 01, 2011 -- A 302-acre farm in Logan County, Ill., sold to five different bidders for a total of $2,675,000 Wednesday -- an average price of $8,857 per acre. Murray Wise Associates managed the sale, which attracted 30 registered bidders to the American Legion post in Lincoln.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Sept. 2, 2011) -- Farmland prices in the Midwest continued their upward march Wednesday as a local farmer paid $4.9 million for 565 acres of land adjacent to Minonk, Ill., just north of Bloomington.

(Aug. 23, 2011) -- The upward march of farmland prices continued Tuesday, Aug. 22, as a regional investor paid $10,944 per acre for 143 acres of farmland ($11,593 per tillable acre) in Illinois' Champaign and Ford counties. Champaign-based Murray Wise Associates marketed the property and managed the sale.
